Our Taproom in Snohomish

We are considered a small craft brewery, nestled in beautiful Snohomish, WA with a focus on high quality small batch beer.

When visiting the brewery, there are a couple of things you should know.

  • We are kid and dog friendly.  Because we are an operating brewery and have a restaurant within the premise, we ask that children stay at the table and dogs have to remain outside in the beer garden.  This is for both the safety of kids and state regulations.
  • We are a working brewery.  There will be times that you come in and can smell the sweet aroma of beer brewing.  With that, the brewery area contains hazardous chemicals and potentially hot liquid.  We do provide tours but those need to be supervised and arranged prior.

Our goal is to create a friendly, warm, safe and inviting atmosphere that serves fantastic beer.

The Brewery Can Be Found At:

1830 Bickford Ave, Suite 111

Snohomish, WA 98290

Located off of 19th in the Snohomish Business Park

QUALITY & CARE IN EVERY GLASS

Best Beer in Snohomish

At S2S, we take our craft very seriously and it shows in the quality of our beer.  The beer you come in to enjoy is brewed right here, in our facility in Snohomish.  Come in early enough for lunch and you will see our team working to create the IPAs, Kölsch, Pale Ales, or any of the other beer varietals we have on tap.

Integrity in the Beer

When we put together our recipes for the beers you are about to enjoy, we want them obviously to taste good, but it is also important for the beers to be True to Style.

This commitment has paid off, since 2021 in numerous prestigious beer judging competitions, S2S received 18 awards from national and international beer competitions for 12 different beers.  See the complete list here.

S2S Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is your beer REALLY award winning

Lots of breweries claim their beer wins awards, at S2S we have recent awards for our beers from notable national and international competitions such as:

    • 2022 Washington Brewers
    • 2022 SIP Magazine
    • 2022 World Beer Cup
    • 2022 US Open Beer Championship

See the full list of awards here.

  • Are dogs allowed?

We love having pets visit our brewery, however the Snohomish Health Department has mandated that they cannot be allowed inside the brewery.  Therefore we have created a warm, dry, comfortable patio for you and your four-legged companion to enjoy visiting our brewery.

  • Are you family friendly?

Typically that means are kids allowed?  Yes, we allow kids of all ages to be inside the brewery and we have non alcoholic drinks, games and coloring items available to keep them occupied as you enjoy some adult time with a cold craft beer.

  • Do you serve wine or cider?

Yes to both.  We are not licensed to be a cidery so we dedicate one tap to a rotating cider.  Plus we have a nice selection of very good wines for you to choose from.  Whether your preference is for the white wines or more fuller body red wines, we have you covered.

  • Do you sell kegs?

Absolutely, for both wholesale as well as retail.  If you are a restaurant that would like to add our beers to your tap list, please contact Doug at the brewery at 360-294-8127.  If you are looking to purchase a keg for home use, please let us know.

  • Do you make charitable donations?

Yes, we focus our charitable efforts towards our local community.   Our philosophy is that typically do not support organizations that just send us direct mail nor youth select teams.  Please contact one of the owners to have your organization considered.

  • Do you have non-alcoholic options?

Yes, we have water stations both inside and outside and we have a selection of sodas to choose from.  Plus, we will carry one non-alcholic beer that is not brewed at Sound2Summit but meets our quality demands.

About Snohomish

The City of Snohomish is located on the Snohomish River, southeast of Everett and northwest of Monroe. Snohomish lies at the intersection of U.S. Route 2 and State Route 9 with Sound2Summit Brewery easily assessable from either.

The city was founded in 1859 and originally named Cadyville after pioneer settler E. F. Cady.  It was renamed to Snohomish in 1871 and served as the county seat of Snohomish County from 1861 to 1897, after which the county government was relocated to Everett. Snohomish has a downtown district that is renowned for its collection of antique shops and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The city of Snohomish has had it's ups and downs.  For example, The Great Depression was not acutely felt in Snohomish due to its economy being mostly agrarian with many family farms. One of the town's largest employers, Bickford Ford, was founded in 1934 by Lawrence Bickford; the dealership flourished in a period when many auto dealerships failed. The 1930s brought Snohomish national attention as the hometown of baseball great Earl Averill, the first Washingtonian elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Averill played from 1929 to 1941, mostly with the Cleveland Indians (now the Cleveland Guardians).

However, in the 1960's, the city of Snohomish entered a period of decline. As the Boeing Company fell on hard times, many people were laid off and had to move away to seek other work. As a "feeder" community for  larger employers in Everett, Seattle and Bellevue, city managers made plans to combat the downturn which continued throughout much of the '70s, with the downtown area given over to mostly bars and small shops. In 1973 the city adopted a Historic District Ordinance protecting historic buildings and structures from inappropriate alterations and demolitions and encouraging the design of new construction in keeping with the district's historic character.

In 1974, the Historic Business District, a 36-block area, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Larger stores moved away from First Street into newer developments and strip malls that spread out along Second Street and Avenue D.  This foresight has retained much of the lore and "hometown" feel of Snohomish.

Today, the city prospers as has a rich tradition including one of Sound2Summit's favorite festivals called Kla Ha Ya Days, which attracts up to 25,000 visitors and began in 1913. It is one of several community events affiliated with the regional Seafair, held annually in July.  In addition to Kla Ha Ya Days, people flock to Snohomish starting every September and October to visit the area's local farms such as Thomas Family Farms and Stocker Farms, to pick out pumpkins and enjoy the corn mazes.  You can enjoy S2S beer at Stocker Farms throughout September and October and then make the quick 5 minute drive to the Brewery for a warm meal and an award winning craft beer.
